Runners Raise Nearly $290K in Omaha Corporate Cup at Aksarben Village

This morning, 2,500 people ran in the American Lung Association in Nebraska’s 43rd annual Corporate Cup presented by Green Plains Inc. to raise nearly $290,000.

The Omaha Corporate Cup is one of Nebraska’s longest running traditions and the event at Aksarben Village helped raise awareness and money to help find a cure for more than 200,000 Nebraskans living with lung disease.

“We are very grateful to everyone that came out to support lung health and so proud of the funds raised today,” said Julia McCarville executive director of the American Lung Association in Nebraska. “Thanks to the determination of our runners and supporters we raised nearly $290,000 to help ongoing efforts to end lung cancer and lung disease in Nebraska.”

The Lung Association looks forward to next year’s Corporate Cup event and to continuing its commitment to improving lung health and preventing lung disease.
