Balls Food Stores Showing “LungLove” During June

Shoppers can support lung health by making a donation at checkout

Beginning June 1, shoppers at any 25 Balls Food Stores locations, including Hen House, Balls Price Chopper, and Balls Sun Fresh, in Greater Kansas City can show their love for lung health by making a donation to the American Lung Association in Kansas & Greater Kansas City at the checkout counter.

It’s all part of a partnership between Balls Food Stores and the Lung Association to help promote lung health through the LungLove movement; a new campaign to educate Americans on the importance of lung health and what they can do to keep their lungs healthy.

“We are so proud to support the Lung Association in its efforts to save lives through its educational programs right here in Greater Kansas City,” said Cameron Wilkerson, Marketing Manager. “We believe in giving back to the community as we are also grateful to celebrate our centennial anniversary this year.”

“Sadly, more than 1 million people across Kansas and Missouri suffer from lung disease. With the support of partners like Balls Food Stores, we can support those affected through programs, research, and advocacy,” said Linda Crider, Executive Director of the Lung Association in Kansas & Greater Kansas City. “We are so honored to partner with Balls Food on this campaign, especially on their centennial anniversary. We congratulate Balls Food Stores and commend them for their success and giving back to the community.”

The campaign runs between June 1 and June 30 at all 25 Balls Food Store locations, including Hen House, Balls Price Chopper and Balls Sun Fresh Market location.
