Iconic Fight For Air Climb Returns to Bank of America Tower on March 23

American Lung Association invites the North Florida community to make every step count in the fight against lung cancer and lung disease

Here in Florida, more than 2.7 million people live with lung disease, including lung cancer, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and asthma. To help fund its work to end lung disease and save lives, the American Lung Association announced that it will host the iconic Fight For Air Climb Jacksonville at Bank of America Tower on Saturday, March 23, 2024.

“We’re encouraging the North Florida community to join us at the Fight For Air Climb to have fun, get exercise and, most importantly, raise critical funds to assist us in the fight for healthy lungs and healthy air,” said Cindy Springer, director of development at the Lung Association. “Because when you can’t breathe, nothing else matters.”

This year marks the 16th anniversary of the Fight For Air Climb Jacksonville, the premier stair-climbing event in North Florida. The climb is designed for every type of participant, from beginners to competitive climbers to first responders in full gear. Participants determine their pace. With 37 floors, Bank of America Tower is the perfect setting for a day of fun, challenge and camaraderie.

Springer added: “The Climb is an empowering way for friends, families, companies and first responder teams to step up for people who fight for every breath. Together, we can achieve a future free of lung disease and lung cancer.”

Participation in the Fight For Air Climb Jacksonville supports the work of the Lung Association to defeat lung cancer, improve the air we breathe, reduce the burden of lung disease on individuals and their families and eliminate tobacco use and tobacco-related diseases.

Registration for the Fight For Air Climb Jacksonville is now open for individuals and teams, which can include friends, families, companies and organizations. For more information, visit ClimbJax.org.
