The event, held in January, featured local celebrities including Tina Newby, Sister Agatha Frisky & The Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence, and a team from Atlas Aviation, all of whom performed live choreographed lip sync and dance routines in an epic show-down. Emcee Maureen Famiano directed the evening of “spectacular performances, each one topping the other,” shared Maureen Famiano with MEFMedia.
Judges included Richard Boisvert, Kirby Lavallee, Kristina Lavallee and Sybil Stanonis. “We were entertained by each performance and in awe of the pure talent,” shared Judge Sybil Stanonis with Dance Therapy with Sybil. Who knew these folks had secret talents beyond their day jobs?”
“The live and in-person event was such a welcomed breath of fresh air for everyone that attended. As a result, we saw a tremendous outpouring of support and participation from the local community,” said Steven Riddle, executive director of the American Lung Association. “Thank you to all of our participants and sponsors who came together to make a difference in the lives of those impacted by lung disease and lung cancer.”
“This was one of those fundraisers that you attend as a sponsor that reaffirms the reason for your company’s support,” shares Duenna Dorsett with Sunshine Health. “Not only did we learn more about the Lung Association’s direct impact on those living with lung disease right here in Tampa, but we had a blast. Our employees and their guests had such a fantastic time in a light-hearted environment outside of work.
