Jacksonville Residents Step Up to Surpass Goal and Raise $130,000 at Fight For Air Climb

Saturday, more than 370 people participated in the American Lung Association in Jacksonville’s Fight For Air Climb at the Bank of America Tower. The event raised more than $130,000 to fund the Lung Association’s efforts to end lung disease.

This was the 15th year of the Fight For Air Climb Jacksonville, the premier stair-climbing event in Jacksonville. Participants climbed 34 flights to the top of the iconic Bank of America Tower.

“Once again, this event proved to be as moving as it was rewarding for all who participated, young and old alike,” said Cindy Springer, Senior Manager of Development for the Lung Association. “Thank you to all of our participants, volunteers, and sponsors who came together to help us exceed our fundraising goal and to make a difference in the lives of people facing lung disease and lung cancer.”

In total, the Jacksonville Fight For Air Climb resulted in:
  • 370 registered participants;
  • 40 teams; and
  • $130,000 raised and counting!

Funds raised from the Fight For Air Climb, support the mission of the American Lung Association and their efforts to defeat lung cancer, champion clean air, improve the quality of life for those with lung disease and their families, and to create a tobacco-free future.
