I was a 45 year smoker. It was common for me to have Bronchitis every six months or so. One episode lasted six months. I already had CT scans that showed nodules in my left lung. My doctor did another scan which showed the nodule had doubled in size over a four year period. About three months later, a PET scan was done which showed the nodule had grown over that period. It also glowed. Lost 1/3 of my left lobe. Stage 1b. They got it all. No chemo, no radiation. My story inspired a friend with a cough to get scanned. He has stage 2 inoperable, and brain cancer. His outlook is promising. Request that scan! Save your life and others along the way!
