Kathleen M., CT

Very lucky & grateful. After a persistent cough, a referral introduced me to an incredible team that diagnosed an ademoma carcinoma lung cancer (stage 1A). Underwent a lobectomy in late November 2018, just like Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg!

Post-surgery pathology report encouraging. Slowly regained my physical strength and flexibility. Back in the adult ballet classes that have been part of my life. I was a former gymnast & dancer and celebrated my 66th birthday in April.

I'm encouraging friends who are (or were) smokers to take advantage of the screening available. I stopped smoking in 1990 and thought I reduced the risk. But you never know.
