My Mom was diagnosed with small cell lung cancer on February 18 and was given 3 to 5 months to live. She is down to 85 pounds, sleeps a lot but is still getting up to let her dogs out and have coffee. Recently her feet started turning blue and one foot is swelling. Her cough has gotten worse over the past few weeks as well and this morning had wheezing in her lungs. This is the most horrifying thing to watch a loved one go through knowing the end is possibly near. I'm just so scared and my heart just aches. The most unfair thing ever to go through. We have signed up with Hospice and they have been a true blessing already.
