I was diagnosed with IPF in November 1999 via a lung biopsy. I started taking OFEV in 2000, and over the next two years, I lost 30 pounds and other stomach issues. My breathing tests stayed about the same over the two years. I was switched to esprit, gained back 20 pounds, and had a few stomach issues. I have more muscle aches and less stamina with liveliness, but I would not go back to OFEV. My breathing tests have decreased some over the last year. The medication has worked, but the side effects are real and unpleasant.
