Curt B., IL

I was born with asthma. I remember during the 1960s and early 1970 that there wasn’t much help for my breathing difficulties. Doctors would want me to try new medicines, and I even overdosed a few times all before I was 10-years-old.

I remember my mom running me to the hospital at 3:00 am to get a shot, and having to sit there for hours waiting to breathe and then having to get allergy shots every Friday for years. They never seemed to get the serum right, so every Friday after receiving the shot, I’d have an asthma attack.
