Banning Menthol Cigarette Manufacture and Sale in the United States: Countering Tobacco Industry-driven Misperceptions

This paper categorizes and combats the various strategies of the tobacco industry in spreading misinformation about the dangers of menthol cigarettes in the United States. This is important because ending the sale of menthol cigarettes and flavored cigars reduces disease and death, particularly among African Americans who are disproportionally affected.
