A Call for the United States to Accelerate the Implementation of Reliever Combination ICS-Formoterol Inhalers in Asthma

This position paper calls for widespread and accelerated adoption of a new asthma treatment using a combination of inhaled corticosteroids in the United States. This is important because it would reduce time between research and implementation of this treatment over the counter instead of prescription, reducing cost and increasing access, which aims to address health disparities and equity. This manuscript was published by the Lung Association Airways Clinical Research Centers.
