American Lung Association in Michigan Leadership Board Awarded Bronze Standard Distinction

Honor recognizes volunteer engagement in Lung Association fundraising, awareness building and mission delivery in support of the organization’s life-saving mission

The American Lung Association is proud to announce the naming of the Lung Association in Michigan Leadership Board as recipient of the organization’s Bronze Standard level of service. This designation recognizes the all-volunteer Michigan Leadership Board’s achievements in fundraising, mission execution, awareness building and advocacy efforts in support of the Lung Association’s mission to save lives by improving lung health and preventing lung disease.

“I am thrilled to accept this honor on behalf of the American Lung Association in Michigan’s Leadership Board whose singular vision always has been to make our state a healthier and better place to live,” said Carma Peters, Chairperson of the Lung Association in Michigan Leadership Board. “Until lung disease is eliminated, we continue to welcome leaders from across Michigan to join us in this important mission.”

To achieve the “Bronze Standard” distinction, Leadership Boards must reach specific benchmarks of Board Operations, including diversity, equity, inclusion and participation, Fundraising and Mission Engagement in their regions. The Board is on there way to reaching Silver and Gold status.
