Wednesday: Pairing Wine with Breathing for a Good Cause

Event shines light on Lung Cancer Awareness Month, November

You’ve heard of “wine and cheese,” but how about “wine and breathe?” That’s what the American Lung Association is inviting Columbus residents to do this Wednesday, November 9 at The Refectory Restaurant in support of Lung Cancer Awareness Month, November.

Media is invited to attend the event, hosted by the American Lung Association and Zangmeister Cancer Center. The event provides a great opportunity for engaging video, lively photos and newsworthy interviews with people with lung disease, lung cancer survivors and other supporters.

WHO: Individuals, supporters, groups of friends and corporate community partners throughout the Columbus area.

WHAT: Attendees of the inaugural “Sip, Wine & Breathe” event will enjoy delectable wine and hors d’oeuvres in support of Lung Cancer Awareness Month. The event will feature special comments from Dr. Jorge Rios, an oncologist specialist with the Zangmeister Cancer Center. 

WHEN: Wednesday, November 9, 2022

WHERE: The Refectory Restaurant, 1092 Bethel Road, Columbus OH 43220.

WHY: More than 10,000 Ohioans suffer from lung cancer. More than half of them will succumb to the disease this year. The event support lifesaving research, local programs and advocacy for the 1.6 million people in Ohio suffering from lung disease.
