Jordin Canada of the Los Angeles Sparks Takes Home Champions Unite Season Three Crown

Canada competed against fellow pro athletes from the Los Angeles Dodgers, San Diego Padres, Los Angeles Lakers and more to win the title with a stunning vocal performance.

Season three of the American Lung Association’s Champions Unite is a wrap, with two-time WNBA Champion Jordin Canada of the Los Angeles Sparks’ beautiful rendition of Kiana Ledé’s “Irresponsible” earning the final fan vote to become the Champions Unite 2023 title holder. Previous winners include former Los Angeles Angels shortstop Jose Iglesias in 2021, and Dodgers’ superstar Mookie Betts in 2022.

The televised and streamed competition, available to view for free at Champion-Unite.org, also featured efforts by Justin Herbert of the LA Chargers, past winner Mookie Betts alongside Dodgers’ teammate Freddie Freeman, and a host of other impressive talents from pro athletes throughout Southern California. During the program Lynn Valbuena, Chairwoman of the San Manuel Band of Mission Indians, and the Tribal Alliance for Sovereign Indian Nations, was honored for her decades-long work to ensure the health of all those on Native lands throughout the country.

All proceeds from the event benefit the American Lung Association’s mission to save lives by preventing lung disease and promoting lung health.

Sponsors of Champions Unite “Season Three” include Sanofi Regeneron, City of Hope, San Manuel Band of Mission Indians, Sharp Healthcare, Yaamava’, Bristol Myers Squibb and Clean Transportation Partners SDG&E, Southern California Edison, and others.
