Matthew K., PA

When I was little, I was diagnosed with a cancer known as fibrosarcoma. With this cancer, the tumor was resting over my right lung. Doctors hoped for a positive outcome of my right lung being able to flat back up to its sister left lung.

Sadly, that did not happen. In 2004, a surgery known as pneumonectomy was performed for complete removal of my right lung.

Today, I live with something known as restrictive lung disease. This will never weigh me down. I live happily and I strive to be the most positive and supportive person I can. I also am a big advocate for quitting tobacco products as I spoke at the capitol about raising the age limit to 21.
