Everyone Wins with Smokefree Air

Everyone deserves the right to breathe smokefree air – let’s close the gap in Indiana!

Smoke-free air laws are a win for business and for health. Communities are looking to protect all workers and patrons by enacting policies to cover gaps in protections from the current statewide law. There are a number of businesses that are exempt from the statewide law; these include bars, taverns, night clubs, casinos, private clubs such as fraternal and veterans’ organizations and retail tobacco shops. These exemptions leave thousands of Hoosiers exposed to toxic secondhand smoke at work.

Advocates in communities across the state are working hard to ensure 100% smokefree air for everyone and need the public’s support to protect all residents from the dangers of secondhand smoke.

It’s time to clear the air! Get involved and help put your town on the map of smokefree cities in Indiana.
