Chief Technology Officer

Neil Ballentine is the Chief Technical Officer for the American Lung Association and serves as a member of the Executive Leadership Team. As Chief Technical Officer, Ballentine is responsible for the information technology platforms, tools and practical applications that help the association deliver on its mission of defeating lung disease. Through data management, information security practices, process & platform standardization with an emphasis of both constituent and internal staff support, Ballentine provides technical leadership to deliver both online and internal facing services.

Prior to joining the American Lung Association in 2007, Ballentine was a founding partner of Digital Business Solutions, a firm who provided Internet, web hosting/design and consulting services to business throughout central Illinois. With a career starting in the dial-up Internet heyday, Ballentine has been a part of multiple evolutionary cycles of the information technology world.

Ballentine earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Illinois – Springfield and a Masters in Business Administration with a focus on Leadership and Change Management from DePaul University – Kellstadt Graduate School of Business.
