In January 2016 while in CICU, I was delivered the news "You have Stage 4 Lung Cancer" and because of the EGFR mutation, your cancer is treatable but not curable.

WOW what a shock as doctors kept treating me for pneumonia! I was then on a trial doing well with only minor side effects but after 3 years, cancer spread to nodes by trachea and armpit. Went through 10 days of radiation now the waiting again for Pet Scan results.

Fingers crossed and lots of prayers for good results. In the meantime, I take a daily pill, Afatinib, in hopes of keeping the cancer from spreading.
