Urge Your Members of Congress to Protect Patients’ Access to Medicaid
One year ago, Congress enacted H.R. 1, which included more than $1 trillion in healthcare cuts and imposed new work reporting requirements. At the time, lawmakers repeatedly promised that people with serious health conditions would be protected from losing coverage due to these work reporting requirements.
However, on June 1, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) released a harmful new rule that threatens access to Medicaid for patients with serious or complex health conditions like lung cancer and chronic lung disease.
Take action now to urge lawmakers to uphold their promise and protect Medicaid access for people with lung disease and other serious illnesses.
Join us in telling your members of Congress to contact CMS to express their concerns about the rule’s impact on patients’ access to care.
