Tell Congress to Fund the National Immunization Program
Vaccines play a vital role in protecting lung health, especially for people living with lung diseases like asthma, COPD and lung cancer.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) National Immunization Program provides essential funding to state and local health departments to ensure people can access vaccines at their doctor’s offices, clinics and pharmacies. This funding also helps states track the spread of diseases and respond effectively to outbreaks.
We are at a critical moment. Measles cases are at a 35-year high. The 2024-2025 flu season was the most severe in over a decade, and the U.S. recorded the highest number of pediatric flu deaths since pediatric flu deaths became reportable in 2004. Nearly 90% of those deaths were children who were not fully vaccinated.
Join us in telling Congress to fund the National Immunization Program.
