Urge the Senate to Pass the Women and Lung Cancer Research Act
In April, the House of Representatives passed the Women and Lung Cancer Research Act – an important step forward in our fight to defeat lung cancer. Now it is the Senate’s turn to act.
We’re urging the Senate to pass the Women and Lung Cancer Research and Preventive Services Act, (S. 1157), a bipartisan bill that would identify opportunities to advance research, awareness and early detection for lung cancer.
Lung cancer is the leading cause of cancer death in the United States. While tobacco use continues to be the primary risk factor, anyone with lungs can get lung cancer. Reducing the burden of lung cancer requires a comprehensive approach – from accelerating research to improving access to lifesaving prevention, screening, diagnosis and treatment.
Take action today and urge your Senators to pass this critical legislation.
