State of the Air 2018
The American Lung Association State of the Air 2018 report grades U.S. counties on harmful ozone (smog) and particle pollution recorded over a three-year period, and details trends for metropolitan areas over the past decade. The report ranks also both the cleanest and most polluted areas in the country.
While the State of the Air 2018 report shows progress for our state, it serves to remind us of our struggle to breathe healthy air, as more than 90 percent of Californians live in counties affected with unhealthy air during certain parts of the year.
