The American Lung Association calls for the following actions to be taken by Connecticut's elected officials to reduce tobacco use and exposure to secondhand smoke:

  1. Protect and increase funding for tobacco prevention and cessation programs;
  2. Defend the state’s indoor air laws protecting residents from secondhand smoke;
  3. Pursue tax parity amongst all tobacco products.
