Don’t Let Lung Health Grants Get Cut Off

Federal grants have long supported lifesaving work across the country – from biomedical research and tobacco prevention programs to efforts to protect the air we breathe.  

However, the White House’s Office of Management and Budget (OMB) has proposed sweeping changes to federal grants, jeopardizing lung health. The proposal would introduce partisan reviews before grants can be awarded, discount recommendations from scientific and other expert reviewers, and make it easier to cut off funding, even for clinical trials in progress. 

Take action with the American Lung Association by asking your members of Congress to call the White House and urge the Administration to withdraw this proposed rule.
