Lend your support by joining us in standing up for the Affordable Care Act and against threats to take away quality and affordable healthcare.
Texas v United States is a lawsuit that threatens to overturn the entire Affordable Care Act, jeopardizing access to quality and affordable healthcare for tens of millions of Americans, including those living with lung disease such as lung cancer, COPD and other preexisting conditions.
More specifically, overturning the Affordable Care Act would:
- Leave far too many people without quality and affordable healthcare coverage.
- Roll back key safeguards that protect patients with pre-existing conditions, such as lung cancer, COPD or asthma.
- Significantly weaken Medicaid, leaving fewer people covered.
Congress needs to act NOW to protect the health and safety of the 35 million Americans living with lung disease. I urge Congress to enact patient protections in case the courts strikes down the entire Affordable Care Act resulting in 20 million Americans losing healthcare coverage. We cannot leave quality and affordable healthcare up to chance.
By signing this petition, I call on Congress to enact healthcare legislation that will protect Medicaid and will provide quality and affordable healthcare for all Americans, especially those with preexisting conditions, including lung diseases.
