Meet the Research Team

Each year the American Lung Association funds the brightest, pioneering scientists and researchers in lung health through our Awards and Grants Program and the Airways Clinical Research Centers (ACRC) network. Each funded investigator uses novel ideas and innovative approaches to make discoveries that will save lives by improving lung health and preventing lung disease.

Since the turn of the century the Lung Association has invested over $165 million in research and with supporters like you, we are funding a total of $7.33 million in grants this fiscal year. Research funding is critical for advancing scientific discoveries and producing breakthroughs that improve the quality of life for people living with lung disease, and can help save lives. We invite those interested in donating to transformative scientific research to learn more about ways to give. We truly appreciate your commitment to research and improving the lives of people with lung disease.

We invite researchers interested in making a significant impact on lung disease through our Awards and Grants Program to learn more about funding opportunities.
