LUNG FORCE Heroes

In September 2015 I was diagnosed with advanced lung disease. The doctors gave me several possible diagnoses such as sarcoidosis and idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis. I immediately began to research lung disease which is how I found this site. I joined and became a social media ambassador during lung cancer/lung disease awareness month.
Since then, I've had a few appointments with my pulmonologist and he strongly believed I may have sarcoidosis. Yesterday, I had my first (and prayerfully my last) bronchoscopy. I was terrified but I knew how important the procedure was. I made it through. It was a mental and emotional roller-coaster ride, just wondering why is this happening to me? I was told it would take 7-10 days before I will get my results. So I wait.
Lung cancer has always been a cause that is close to my heart. My maternal grandmother died from lung cancer 20 years ago. She smoked cigarettes for as long as I can remember. I, however, have never smoked. I am very happy to be able to share my journey with a community of individuals who are committed to finding a cure for lung cancer and lung disease.
