More than 300 people from the Greater Philadelphia region participated in the American Lung Association’s LUNG FORCE Walk Philadelphia in Old City Neighborhood last weekend and as well as the participants in the ongoing virtual “Walk Your Way” registration now through June 30, 2021. To date, the event has raised $81,449—funds will support the Lung Association’s efforts to end lung cancer and lung disease through research, education and advocacy, including the American Lung Association’s COVID-19 Action Imitative.
Pennsauken New Jersey resident, LUNG FORCE Hero and Stage IV lung cancer survivor Le Ann Frost ‘s participation and fundraising efforts for the event placed her among the top individual LUNG FORCE Walk fundraisers across the country. Frost is #9 top individual fundraiser on the LUNG FORCE Walk National Leaderboard and has raised $6,527 for LUNG FORCE Walk Philadelphia 2021. Her team, Fightin’ Frosts (pictured) are also the top team fundraisers for the LUNG FORCE Walk Philadelphia this year, raising $7.089; and since 2018, the team has raised over $27,500 to save lives and improve lung health.

In total, the Philadelphia LUNG FORCE Walk resulted in:
• 356 registered participants;
• 53 teams
• $181,449 raised and counting!
Money raised at the LUNG FORCE Walk will fund the Lung Association’s efforts to end lung cancer and lung disease, as well as support the organization’s COVID-19 Action Initiative. The COVID-19 Action Initiative is a $25 million investment to address COVID-19 and protect against future respiratory virus pandemics.
