The American Lung Association and AT&T are proud to present the prestigious 2023 New Mexico Firefighter of The Year Award at a ceremony taking place during the American Lung Association Fight For Air Climb event at 8 a.m. on Saturday, April 15, 2023 at the Firefighter Training Academy at 11500 Sunset Gardens Rd. SW in Albuquerque.
“The Lung Association is proud to join AT&T to present this year’s Firefighter of the Year Award to one of New Mexico’s ’s finest,” said Victoria Byrd, American Lung Association in New Mexico Market Lead. “Nominees were submitted from across New Mexico, and we are excited to announce the firefighter of the year at our popular 2023 Fight For Air Climb event this Saturday, April 15.”
The public is welcome to attend the award presentation for free. Following the award, there will be a mini car show and an array of food trucks for all. Those who wish to participate in the Fight For Air Climb fundraising event may register at FightForAirClimb.org/albuquerque. A registration fee and fundraising minimum is required to climb.
The American Lung Association Fight For Air Climb welcomes participants from throughout New Mexico to experience the state-of-the-art training facility while raising funds and awareness for lung disease. Fire and rescue professionals know as well as anyone the importance of healthy lungs.
