Today, the American Lung Association in Florida announced that Kelli Tice Wells, MD, from Florida Blue will speak at the virtual LUNG FORCE Expo on December 8.
This LUNG FORCE Expo is designed to educate health professionals about the latest trends, resources and research surrounding lung cancer, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), COVID-19 and other respiratory diseases. Dr. Wells will present on “Alternative Tobacco Products: Facts and Future Impacts.”
“It is more important than ever before to focus on and support lung health. More than 37 million Americans live with chronic lung disease and COVID-19 is affecting millions, so it is critical that healthcare providers are educated on the newest trends, research and treatments that have the potential to benefit their patients,” said Bethany Webb, development manager at the Lung Association. “We are honored to have Dr. Wells featured at this important event to help healthcare professionals better treat their patients living with lung disease, including lung cancer and COVID-19.”
The event will also feature topics like COVID-19 recovery and lingering effects, health disparities in lung disease, treating lung cancer patients in a pandemic, and much more. View the full agenda here.
The LUNG FORCE Expo takes place on December 8 from 9 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. ET. Registration is $75 for early bird registration and $100 after December 1. More information and registration is available on the LUNG FORCE Expo website.
