Indianapolis Gala Raises Over $333K for Lung Health

Hundreds attend annual event at Victory Field to support Lung Association

On June 4, 2022, hundreds of attendees at the Evening of Promise Gala at Victory Field enjoyed an unforgettable experience while helping to advance the American Lung Association’s mission of improving lung health and preventing lung disease in Indiana and beyond. The event raised over $333,000.

“From The Bishops’ rocking music to the excellent selection of items at auction, everything about the Gala was unforgettable,” said Tanya Husain, executive director at the Lung Association. “We thank our community for coming together to help kick lung disease out of the park.”

The Evening of Promise Gala included a performance from the rock band The Bishops and a picnic-style dinner served inside Victory Field. Silent and live auctions offered an eclectic selection of goods, including entertainment packages, restaurant passes and fine art. Technology entrepreneur Dr. Donald Brown was honored with the Lung Association's Legacy Award for his dedication to improving the health of those with lung disease.

Funds raised from the event support lifesaving research, advocacy and local programs for the 970,000 people suffering from chronic lung disease in Indiana.
