Louisville’s hottest event in town is going outdoors. The American Lung Association announced today that its 27th Annual Derby Eve Gala will be held at The Belvedere, connected to the legendary Galt House Hotel, in downtown Louisville on Friday, April 30, 8PM – 12AM.
The outdoor event includes a gourmet dinner with wine service, a full-service hosted bar, dancing, and music by Burning Las Vegas. In addition, all registrants will receive a unique code for a special $199 overnight stay rate at the Galt Hotel for Friday, April 30th only.
“Though the event will take place outdoors this year, we are excited to be able to host this event in a safe way and continue its long tradition of being the hottest ticket in Louisville for Derby Eve,” said Deena Adams, executive director for the Lung Association. “COVID-19 has taken a toll on our community, but it will not deter us from our efforts against lung disease and for clean air. We are grateful that the Louisville community will continue to support us at this event and come together to raise funds and awareness in support of lung disease research.“
Masks will be required at the event and social distancing will be practiced. The safety of attendees, staff and volunteers is always our number one priority.
The Derby Eve Gala is supported by the UK HealthCare Transplant Center, Bayer, Norton Healthcare, Family Allergy & Asthma; and media sponsors WAVE3 News, and Sophisticated Magazine.
Self-parking will be available in The Galt House parking garage (West Tower) for $22 or valet will be available for $30. Due to the nature of this outdoor event, high heel shoes are discouraged. Wedges or flats are encouraged in order to enjoy all the festivities.
