Guardant Health Joins American Lung Association to Raise Awareness and Funding for Lung Cancer Research

Today, the American Lung Association in North Carolina announced that Guardant Health, a leading precision oncology company, will be the presenting sponsor for this year’s LUNG FORCE Turquoise Tasting, which will take place at the Duke Mansion on Thursday, October 14.

As a cocktail reception, Turquoise Tasting includes food and beverage pairings, a silent auction, live music, a wine pull and other fun activities. New this year, the event will take place entirely outdoors for a beautiful evening under the stars.

“By supporting our LUNG FORCE Turquoise Tasting, Guardant Health has joined us in our mission to bring an end to lung cancer through education, research and advocacy,” said Jennifer Hall, executive director for the Lung Association. “Guardant Health is truly an innovator in medical testing for cancers, so we are excited to partner with them, and for them to join us to celebrate advancements in lung cancer research and raise funding for the years to come.”

“Lung Cancer is the number one cancer killer in the U.S. and in North Carolina, so continued research for early detection, treatments and a cure is desperately needed,” said Craig Eagle, MD, Chief Medical Officer at Guardant Health. “We are honored to support the LUNG FORCE Turquoise Tasting, which provides critical funding for lung cancer research and supports local programs to help people living with the disease. We hope to see our community come together this October for a fun and inspiring event!”

This is the 6th year of the Turquoise Tasting in Charlotte. During this year’s event, the Lung Association will implement extensive health and safety measures for participants, volunteers, and staff, and comply with all local, state and federal COVID-19 regulations.

The LUNG FORCE Turquoise Tasting will take place on Thursday, October 14 at 6:30 p.m. Tickets for the event and corporate sponsorships are available at
