Landmark Builders Invests in Lung Health, COVID-19 Relief in Charlotte

Top local company named presenting sponsor of the Lung Association’s Fight For Air Climb event

Today, the American Lung Association in North Carolina announced that Landmark Builders is the presenting sponsor of the Fight For Air Climb, set for March 27 at Truist Field, Home of the Charlotte Knights. This is the second year that the company has sponsored the event.

This is the 8th year of the Fight For Air Climb in Charlotte. The event typically takes place in the stairwells of The VUE but was reimagined as an outdoor climb challenge for the safety of participants, volunteers and staff. The organization is also offering a “Climb Your Way” option for those who can’t make it to the physical event.

“Through events like the Fight For Air Climb, we are able to fund our work to improve air quality, educate residents on lung health and COVID-19, and help people who live with lung disease,” said Jennifer Hall, executive director for the Lung Association. “But we can’t do it alone. Our partnership with Landmark Builders helps us provide vital support to the Charlotte community and residents throughout North Carolina. From funding asthma education, to providing resources to those suffering from lung cancer, this support makes people’s lives better every day.”

Landmark was founded in 1975 and has earned a reputation as a value-driven, dependable and trustworthy builder with an unwavering commitment to deliver on what they promise. They work to build confidence every day by continually meeting and exceeding the goals of their customers.

“It is key to our company mission to support the communities where so many of our employees work and live. The American Lung Association’s work to support clean air and healthy lungs affects us all, so we are proud to be involved with the organization’s Fight For Air Climb,” said Wrenn Wells, Vice President at Landmark Builders. “We hope to see our community come together for a fun and inspiring event.”

Money raised at the Fight For Air Climb will fund the Lung Association’s efforts to end lung cancer and lung disease, as well as support the organization’s COVID-19 Action Initiative. The COVID-19 Action Initiative is a $25 million investment to address COVID-19 and protect against future respiratory virus pandemics. The initiative works with public and private entities to increase research collaboration and develop new vaccines, detection tests and treatment therapies.

Registration for the Fight For Air Climb is $35 and requires an additional $100 fundraising minimum. For more information and to register, visit FightForAirClimb.org/Charlotte
