Free Registration Open for American Lung Association in Arizona’s LUNG FORCE Walk

Join the American Lung Association in Arizona for its in-person LUNG FORCE Walk on November 13, 2021, at the SRP PERA Club, at 1 E. Continental Drive in Tempe to support and promote lung health.   The event will start at 2 p.m.

Registration for the walk is free for every participant, but fundraising is encouraged. Individuals and teams can register and learn more about the event at LUNGFORCE.org/arizona.

The LUNG FORCE Walk is the American Lung Association’s signature community event to raise funds and awareness of lifesaving research, early lung cancer screenings, pandemic education and support through the Lung Association’s COVID-19 Action Initiative. This year’s walk at the SRP PERA Club includes beautiful canal views and the opportunity to enjoy sunshine and camaraderie during the two and a half-mile loop.  Walkers may also participate virtually.

“The past two years have highlighted how important breathing truly is. The ability to take a deep breath is something those who struggle with lung disease never take for granted,” said Elizabeth Walton, executive director for the American Lung Association in Arizona. “Our vision is a world free of lung disease.  Together, we can take steps to advance lifesaving research, education, and advocacy.”

Randy Persson, president and co-owner of Kenwood Mortgage Investments, Inc., and Matthew Earl Jones, director of film and digital media for the Arizona Commerce Authority, will co-chair this year’s LUNG FORCE walk.

Sponsors include TruWest Credit Union and CVS Health.
