In response to reports of a rise in attacks against Jewish individuals in the United States, American Lung Association President and CEO, Harold Wimmer, issued the following statement:
“The American Lung Association joins the nation in condemning the rise in anti-Semitic violence. We cannot ignore this rise in attacks on our fellow Americans, it must be universally condemned and stopped.
“The American Lung Association denounces all forms of discrimination, racism, misogyny and violence, and will continue to combat racism and support all communities facing inequities and violence in order to create a better future.
“We stand with the Jewish-American community during this challenging time and call for all Americans to join together against hate of any kind to create a more just and equitable world for all.”
