Today, the American Lung Association in Florida announced that the 5th annual Lip Sync For Lungs will return to a live battle on November 17 at an exciting new location, the famous 3 Daughters Brewing in St. Petersburg.
Lip Sync For Lungs features local celebrities performing lip sync and dance routines in an epic show-down to win the title of Lip Sync Battle Champion. Last year, the event was held virtually for the safety of performers, staff and attendees.
“Lip Sync For Lungs is a fun and unique event, and will be amplified by the beautiful and interactive space that 3 Daughters Brewing offers,” said Steven Riddle, executive director of the Lung Association. “Last year’s virtual event allowed for some really cool music video type features, but we are very excited for us all to come together again, safely, in person to watch this epic live battle.”
This year’s celebrity lineup includes local celebrities:
Jamal Wilburg, AVP, Customer and Technical Support, Ability Network.
Another special guest includes celebrity judge Maureen Famiano, president of MEF Media.
Money raised at the Lip Sync For Lungs will fund the Lung Association’s efforts to end lung cancer and lung disease, as well as support the Lung Association’s COVID-19 Action Initiative. The COVID-19 Action Initiative is a $25 million investment to address COVID-19 and protect against future respiratory virus pandemics.
More information on the 5th annual Lip Sync For Lungs and tickets are available at LipSyncForLungsTampa.org. During this year’s event, the Lung Association will implement extensive health and safety measures for participants, volunteers, and staff, and comply with all local, state and federal regulations.
