Orlando Real Estate Leader Lip Syncs to Support Lung Health

Orlando real estate leader, Heather Hurry, loves rock and roll and entertaining, but her passion lies in helping the community. On November 10, she will lip sing for a cause at the American Lung Association’s Lip Sync For Lungs at Novel Lurcerne.

Hurry is the marketing director for Pillar to Post, the industry-leading home inspection company. She recently lost her father-in-law to pulmonary fibrosis, a chronic lung disease that makes it difficult to breathe. This led her to connect with the Lung Association for resources on pulmonary fibrosis. She has also lost several family members to lung cancer. Because of her connections to lung disease, she decided to become involved with the Lung Association’s Lip Sync For Lungs event. 

“I have a love for music and entertaining, and just wanted to give back on behalf of everything the Lung Association did for me and my family through the years,” she said.

For the event on November 10, Hurry will compete against three other Orlando celebrities in an epic show-down to win the title of Lip Sync Battle Champion. And Hurry isn’t new to the stage. Her performance history goes back to Disney where she performed as Chip and Dale, White Rabbit, Gideon, Snow White, and a Farm Girl Dancer. She said that the audience can expect her Lip Sync For Lungs performance to be entertaining and fun, interactive with lots of energy, and that she will be “keeping it old school.”

More importantly, she is excited to raise awareness for lung disease and lung cancer.

“I’ll try my hardest to raise money for the Lung Association to continue to help families like us that may not know you’re available and out there, who are struggling to find some resources that are cost-effective and local,” said Hurry. “I also love making people smile and entertaining folks and making lifelong connections in the community.”
