In addition to our LUNG FORCE Walks, the American Lung Association is excited to present many special fundraising events that attract thousands of people to raise funds and awareness for lung disease research and programs.
Our signature Fight For Air Climb events, held in Cleveland, OH; Cincinnati, OH; Columbus, OH; Detroit, MI; Louisville KY; and Nashville, TN, take participants up the stairwells of some of the highest buildings in our region. Participants climb in honor or memory of a loved one touched by lung disease.
Shaker Village Shake-Up, also known as the Bike Trek to Shaker Village, is Kentucky's premier bicycle touring event and takes cyclists through the beautiful Kentucky hills all the while raising important funds to fight lung disease.
The American Lung Association of the Midland States also hosts a variety of other special events including galas, luncheons and golf outings that provide a venue for honoring those who support our mission.
Those events included the Women of Distinction Luncheon in Chattanooga, Tennessee; Big Screen Bash Gala, in Louisville, Kentucky; and the Derby Eve Gala in Louisville, Kentucky. Each brought lung health supporters together while sharing good food and entertainment; all in support of lung health. And area golfers hit the links for the Cleveland Golf tournament in Ohio raising critical funds to support the vision of a world free from lung disease.
We thank all of our participants, donors, sponsors, and organizers that help make all of these fundraising events possible!
