Free Quit Smoking Help

If you're still smoking, we understand. Smoking is an addiction—and a hard one to overcome. From targeted tobacco ad campaigns to a lack of affordable quit smoking resources, many people who smoke feel like the odds are stacked against them.

Smoking is expensive, a hassle and bad for your health. Your risk of lung disease, diabetes, and even cancer increase when you smoke, and secondhand smoke harms those around us. In fact, tobacco use is a major contributor to the three leading causes of death among African-Americans—heart disease, cancer and stroke—and causes 45,000 African-American deaths every year.

Knowing all that still doesn't make quitting easy. With support from the CVS Health Foundation, the American Lung Association is offering free quit-smoking support to African-American communities in Atlanta. Every smoker can quit if they keep trying and this program will give them the tools they need to achieve their freedom from smoking.

To find out if you or someone you love is eligible for free quit smoking support – available online, in-person or over the phone – contact Lauren Bineau at [email protected].
