You frequently don’t see Dave Jonasen’s face, because much of the time it’s hidden behind a camera. Photography is a growing passion for Dave, and the American Lung Association in Wisconsin has benefited greatly from his skills. Dave has been part of a team of photographers to visually document the special moments and images from our many events, including the Fight for Air Climb, Ride and Walk.
His friendly nature brings out the best in people; Dave can coax a smile out of even the most camera-shy participant. A “radio production guy” by profession, he also can be called upon to use his broadcast skills behind the video camera, capturing many of the moving stories that underscore the importance of our mission.
Luke Witkowski, Manager – FACT Program and fellow photographer says, “Dave is the quintessential American Lung Association volunteer. He’s cheerful, outgoing, and most importantly believes in the mission of our organization. Behind the camera Dave is a natural. He’s always there to get that right angle and shoot photos that really capture the essence of our special events and the organization. We are lucky to have Dave as a volunteer.”
