The American Lung Association in Michigan would like to thank Hector Marquez for his dedicated service as a volunteer.

Hector, who innovates new information products and experiences for automotive companies in Detroit, has always enjoyed a physical challenge. Unfortunately, after an accident ten years ago, Hector tore every ligament in his knee. After several surgeries and countless hours of physical therapy, he was finally able to walk again.

Hector had to rethink his approach to physical activity. Instead of participating in races and climbs, he began volunteering to help make the events special for others. “Working events with the ALA is a wonderful way to get me out from behind my computer and participating in my own way.”

Since 2015, Hector has helped the American Lung Association in Detroit with both the Fight for Air Climb and the LUNG FORCE walk. His selfless service has helped make it possible to provide an exceptional experience for others who share his passions. Thanks for all your hard work!
