Today, the American Lung Association in Illinois announced that local Subway restaurants have joined efforts to fight lung disease. Subway will be donating 30 sub platters for the Fight For Air Climb at Wyndham Springfield City Centre on Sunday, February 25.
“Thanks to in-kind sponsors like Subway, we are able to give Fight For Air Climbers and Volunteers a fantastic experience at our event,” said Monica Guerrant, special events manager for the Lung Association in Illinois. “Subway’s delicious and healthy food will provide the nourishment that our climbers need after scaling the tallest building in central Illinois.”
The Fight For Air Climb helps save lives locally by raising awareness about the risk factors of lung disease, helping people manage their illness through educational trainings, by funding research to find a cure for lung cancer and much more. Nearly 90 cents of every dollar raised goes directly to education, research and advocacy.
The 2018 Fight For Air Climb at Wyndham Springfield City Centre presented by CEFCU is on Sunday, February 25 at 8 a.m. People can register on the day of the event or by calling 217-787-5864.
