Local companies, The University of Kansas Health System, The University of Kansas Cancer Center and The Accurso Law Firm are providing significant investment to fight lung cancer for the LUNG FORCE Glam! on May 10, the American Lung Association in Kansas & Greater Kansas City announced today.

These companies have signed on as presenting sponsors, the maximum level of sponsorship, for the LUNG FORCE Glam, an event to raise awareness about lung cancer and celebrate survivors and advancements in research. The event is held at the Gallery Event Space in the Power & Light District of Kansas City, and will include a cocktail hour, silent auction, plated dinner, inspirational speakers and more.

“Lung cancer is the number one cancer killer in the U.S. and fighting to end lung cancer must be a collaborative effort,” said Linda Crider, the executive director for the Lung Association. “These fantastic local organizations will help us raise funds for research, educational programs to help people with lung disease and advocacy efforts to fight for clean air.”

Tickets, table reservations and sponsorships for the LUNG FORCE Glam! are currently available online at action.lung.org/lungforceglam or by calling the Lung Association in Kansas & Greater Kansas City at 913-353-9165.
