Today, the American Lung Association in Missouri announced it will partner with several local businesses for the LUNG FORCE Glam on May 3, an event to celebrate lung cancer survivors, and raise awareness about lung cancer; the nation’s number one cancer killer of women and men.
Local businesses Ascension, Delta Dental, TierPoint and Husky Corp. have signed on as sponsors of the inaugural Glam event. Funds raised by the event will support local programs to help people with lung disease.
“Fighting to end lung cancer must be a collaborative effort,” said Brett Schuette, the executive director for the Lung Association. “It is humbling to see all of these local businesses come together in support of lung cancer research, helping us fund educational programs to assist people with lung disease as well as advocate on their behalf for clean air.”
Ascension, a Catholic health ministry, is a silver sponsor at the event. Delta Dental, TierPoint, and Husky Corp., are Turquoise Table Sponsors. Almost 90 cents of every dollar raised will go to the Lung Association’s local programs and services, including research, advocacy and public health education.
LUNG FORCE Glam is held just a few days before National Women’s Lung Health Week, an annual observance from May 6 – 12. The event is held at the Caramel Room at Bissinger's in St. Louis and will include a plated lunch, inspirational speakers and more.
Tickets, table reservations and sponsorships for the LUNG FORCE Glam are available online or by calling the Lung Association in Missouri at 314-645-5505.
