"Breathe" Annual Gala Coming in May!
(April 11, 2017) -
The American Lung Association in Wisconsin will host its annual gala fundraising event on Saturday, May 6, 2017. The 2017 O2 Oxygen Ball – BREATHE will feature items for auction, dinner, music and dancing. The event takes place at the Pfister Hotel, 424 E. Wisconsin Avenue, Milwaukee, WI.
The Oxygen Ball - Breathe, is one of the signature fundraising events for the American Lung Association in Wisconsin. It is designed to raise funds and awareness to support the mission of our organization; to save lives by improving lung health and preventing lung disease. Over 500 sponsors and guests gather for a memorable evening of dinner, dancing and silent and live auctions.
Festivities will begin at 5:30 with a cocktail reception featuring passed hors d’oeuvres, Silent and Super Silent Auctions. At 7:30 guests will sit down to a gourmet dinner, games, the evening program and a Voice auction. Guests may pre-bid on auction items in the days preceding the Gala at www.Oxygen17.Gesture.com. Final date when items will be available is still to be determined.
The event will close with live music provided by RPM and dancing.
Proceeds support the American Lung Association in Wisconsin’s work to protect those with lung disease and those at risk. This includes sustaining our life-saving programs and services and by funding research as we search for hopeful cures for diseases such as lung cancer - still claiming the lives of more than any other form of cancer. Your support will provide hope for all those who struggle to breathe because of lung disease.
Reservations are still available. Tables of eight are $2,500; individual reservations are $250. Sponsorship and underwriting opportunities are also available.
The event’s Presenting Sponsor is United Healthcare. The Benefit Services Group is the Gold Sponsor. Silver Sponsors include Associated Bank, Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin, Direct Supply, Inc. and Fiserv.
The Lung Association would also like to thank the Gala’s co-chairs, John Dirkse and Kathy Kuhn-Dirkse, Gerald and Natalie Frye, Peggy and Ron Troy and Bob and Sarah Duncan.
