The American Lung Association in Hawaii and the Mother’s Day Council will honor four recipients of the 2019 Mother of the Year Awards in Honolulu for serving as an exceptional role model for their children, while also excelling in their careers and philanthropic endeavors.

The four honorees for 2019 in Hawaii are:

  • Sandra Au Fong, President and Secretary, Market City Limited
  • Grace Hao, President & Co-Founder, Coach Excellence School
  • Linda Kalahiki, Chief Marketing Officer, University Health Alliance Health Insurance
  • Kitty Yannone, Chief Executive Officer, CommPac

This year marks the American Lung Association’s inaugural year for the award in Hawaii. Each honoree has demonstrated the ability to balance her personal life and professional life, and joins a sisterhood of women and mothers honored through this award.

The brunch honoring award the 2019 Mother of the Year Award recipients will be held on May 4 at the Kahala Hotel and Resort.  All proceeds from the event will support the American Lung Association’s mission to save lives by improving lung health and preventing lung disease. The organization supports the more than 32 million Americans living with a lung disease and fights for healthy air for all residents.

“These four outstanding women are not only tremendous role models for their children, but also for their community,” said Kahala Howser, Executive Director for the American Lung Association in Hawaii. “We’re proud to recognize these mothers for all that they do, and also for the funds they help raise to support the lifesaving mission of the American Lung Association.”
