Share Your Story and We'll Take It to Congress
32 million Americans with lung disease need access to affordable healthcare and millions could lose their healthcare if we don't stand together and tell Congress why healthcare is important to each of us.
What's at stake?
- 133 million American's with pre-existing conditions could lose their access to care if pre-existing conditions are allowed to disqualify people from having healthcare.
- 36 million Americans, including people with lung disease, who currently have healthcare coverage are at risk for losing their care.
- Access to preventive services with no cost sharing — including quit smoking treatments, lung cancer screenings for individuals at high risk, pneumonia & influenza vaccinations, and other basic categories of coverage — could disappear.
- Access to care with no lifetime or annual limits — including coverage of cancer treatment and medication to manage asthma and COPD — could all disappear.
This is why we need your help to tell Congress why healthcare is important to you. Please share your story about why affordable health insurance, access to care, and the impact of healthcare to you and your family is important.
Together, our collective stories will help send a strong message to Congress that we cannot allow for lung disease patients and lung cancer survivors to have a gap in their healthcare coverage, or worst, lose it all together.
