Executive Vice President, Southeast Region
Martha Bogdan is Executive Vice President, Southeast Region. Prior to this, she served as President and CEO of American Lung Association of the Southeast until the Lung Association united into a single nationwide organization on July 1, 2017.
Bogdan is a 40-year employee of the American Lung Association. She first served as a volunteer student intern in Greensboro, North Carolina. Bogdan started her career with the American Lung Association in Delaware as a health educator responsible for the development and implementation of pediatric lung disease programs and tobacco prevention programs. She was first promoted to Program Director and then held the position of Executive Director for 20 years. Bogdan served as interim CEO for the American Lung Association of New York City and then was appointed President & CEO for the American Lung Association in Florida in January 2005.
Bogdan holds a bachelor's degree in health education from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, and a master's degree in public health administration from West Chester University.
